Access Statement

The Oldrectory
Main Access

The Old Rectory is accessible by car virtually to the front door. Cars are parked on a gravel surfaced courtyard at the front of the house.

Although there are no steps from the driveway to the front door wheelchair access is difficult as space is restricted through the porch to the main reception room.
 
Ground floor Double Room

En route to this room there are two separate steps the first being a step down of 2 inches (50cm) the next being a step up of 5 inches (130cm). The bedroom and en suite facilities are on the same level with a step up to the shower area of 8inches (210cm)
Four Poster Room
 
This room is accessed via a flight of 25 stairs. The en suite is at the same level as the bedroom and is furnished with a standard bathroom suite.
 
The Twin Room


This room is accessed via a flight of 25 stairs followed by a right turn from the landing with a further two stairs leading into the room. The private bathroom for the twin room is across the hall requiring the guest to exit the room down the two stairs to the landing level. The bathroom is furnished with a standard bathroom suite.

The First Floor Double Room


This room is accessed via a flight of 25 stairs followed by a right turn from the landing with a further two stairs leading into the room. The private bathroom for the twin room is across the hall requiring the guest to exit the room down the two stairs to the landing level. The bathroom is furnished with a standard bathroom suite.

Dining Area


This room (the orangery/conservatory) is on the ground floor level with no steps

Garden

 

The garden is accessed from the dining area, with one step down to a gravel area. Most of the garden is accessible across level areas and pathways.
